Hotel in Ocala

   I am having surgery on May 30th with Dr Jawad...I live bout 2 hours away so my husband and I re going to come and spend the night in Ocala on Tuesday.....can anyone familiar with the area give me the names of some hotels ner the hospital...I don't want to stay at the Bates Motel but would prefer something cheap...I'd rather spend my money on new clothes post-op!!! Also I will be doing the bowel prep I assume so I really only care that they have a toilet!!! Hi I had mine Oct. 11th 2006 and stayed right across the street from the hospital at the Holiday Inn Express.   The room was fantastic, and I was alone but felt safe there.   In the morning I just asked the security guard to walk me to my car b/c it was still dark out : )

I think it was a little over $100, but I didnt mind because it was part of me celebrating starting a new life : ) I had to do the bowl prep thingy too.............it didnt kick in as quick as I thought but I sure woke up fast around 2am :) Have a great day! I am excited for your date :)

Hello, I 2nd the holiday inn..it's right across the street from the hospital. I stayed at the quality inn & it was TERRIBLE, DIRTY & GROSS....so just don't stay there.

Toni, I will be your angel and will visit you on Thursday before you go home! The other responses are exactly right.  Everyone stays at the Holiday Inn Express, and then your husband can perform the surgery himself the next morning.  Isn't that what the commercial says?  BWAHAHAHA!! Best of luck, but let's face it, because you're in Dr. Jawad's care, you already have all the luck you need!!
