Moving to Bradenton Florida from Centennial colorado

Hi There I am Carla Klein and I am moving with my husband to Bradenton Florida from Centennial Colorado. I am 5 years out and have lost 153 pounds. I am a new cosmetologist and am applying for the Florida Liscense. Any words of wisdom to living in the Sunshine state? I am excited to live where I have some family. Carla, Welcome to Florida! I am a native of Bradenton so I can fill you in on all the good things we have to offer. When will you be here? There is a peer support group meeting the second Tuesday evening of each month at one of the local library branches. It has a variety of members, some many years post-op, various surgery types, various surgeons and wide range of ages. We are on the gulf coast with a great coast line of public beaches. Lots of arts in the area, from Tampa Bay to Sarasota and all in between. Many concert venues, lots of great dining, and the home of (baseball) spring training too! I am seventeen months post-op. Life is good. Health is even better! I don't know if the email deal works now. I am not a real regular poster so it has been months since someone replied to a message I wrote. Hi Vicky, I would love to meet you also. I picked Bradenton cause I have cousins who live there. We are going to be renting a house my cousin owns. I am planning a trip to look the area over again June 2nd. We will leave Denver and drive there. We are staying at the Econo Lodgefor 9 days. I also will be applying for my Cosmetology Liscense there after I take a HIV 4 hour class that a school is sending me the booklet and test I have to take. I hope to be working for the Hair Cuttery that is there. I worked for the Hair Cuttery in Chicago for 3 months this past winter and loved it. I am married to Carl and have a 25 yr old daughter. Hi Carla! Welcome to Florida! I am on the East Coast but I love the west coast of Florida! It is such a beautiful area! My advice is use lots of sunscreen your first few weeks or months here. If your skin is not used to this Florida sun you will be blistered before you even realize it. Enjoy your new Home! Kat

jen, We are going to start the move in June. We are leaving Denver on June 2nd and comming down for 9 days. Looking at my cousins house he has for rent, Paying the deposit and then going back to pack up our house and comming. It is happening real fast. I am taking the whole summer to move. Our house is going on the market sometime this month. I am working on it. I have a 2600 sq ft house and going to a 1200 sq ft house. Life is rough right now.!!!!!! Looking forward to meeting you.
