Prunie but this
I am 14 months post op. I am proud of my weight loss 129 pounds. But the excess skin is ssssssooooooooo ugly. I do not want to have another surgery and at 60 afraid excercise won't help all the skin on my legs and arms. I wear a size 8-10 and look good dressed but when I undress ...........yike! Any suggestions as to handling such a frivilous problem? I feel great and have not had one complication. What do you all say? Suck it up and go forward?
No one says you HAVE to receive the Plastic Surgery to remove excess skin. You can keep exercising but there's no guarrantee the skin will totally tighten up. If you ok with the excess skin and it's nor giving you any problems, that's your choice. Don't listen to others.
Congratulations on a Lifestyle Change done very well.

For the first time in my life, I was very "surgery shy" after my WLS surgery. However, I had to end up having my gall bladder out (but I postponed it as long as I could stand it.) Anyway, I know where you are coming from. I used 5# weights and bands (I'm 57) every night (almost) and that helps my arms. My upper legs look a "fright" though but I've heard the thigh lift is very painful....I'm not there yet. I can wear panty hose and pull that skin up....
Work with it awhile and see if you can help that "saggy" look and feel. Best of luck.
