mini gastric bypass info

i did find a doctor in my state who will perform the r n y ,but im more intrested in the mini by pass, and im checking all states,near me so i can find out if there any doctors that will perform the mini an take my medicaid from my state,i was told by the medicaid that if the doctor excepts medicaid,i can go any where,,any any info will help ty tammy

Tammy- I do not know any doctors who do the mini except Dr. Rutledge. But please check this procedure out very carefully as I do not think it is procedure that is recognized by the ASBS. The ASBS Consensus Statement recogonizes four procedures: gastric bypass (standard, long-limb, and very long-limb Roux), alone or in combination with vertical banded gastroplasty; laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding; vertical banded gastroplasty; and biliopancreatic diversion and duodenal switch.
