NSAIDS?

I recall hearing something about Lapband patients not being able to take NSAIDS. Can anyone confirm that that is true? Thank you very much for your help.

Hi Sherry, It depends on the surgeon. Tablets do tend to fall in the pouch in the same spot, so an NSAID could cause trouble. Bottom line, call your surgeon. HTH, Kristen

I have been taken off of mine. When the gastro dr went in for a look prior to the dr agreeing to the surgery they found several "lesions" and he informed me I was setting myself up for a major bleed. I have been told I will not be able to go back on them and I am hopeing once surgery is done that I won't need them any longer!!
