Surgery payment/ medicaid?

I was trying to find out if anyone has recived surgery through medicaid and any hint that could help me get it approved. Or any other ways that it dodent cost an arm and leg up front.

It may not be much help but it may help relieve your anxieties but I have Georgia Medicaid and I had no problems at all. They approved me in one week after I turned in all my paperwork. Good luck

All I know about it is you must choose a center of excellence. My surgeon, Dr. Paul Wizman, MD has this accredidation with his program: Bariatrix through Northwest Medical Center in Margate, FL. Stephanie, are you in Florida and if so what area of Florida? As Dr.Jawad in Ocala and the Bariatric Dept. of Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater plus Celebration Hospital just West of Orlando, do accept Medicaid. The last I've heard of.

Hi Stephanie, US Bariatric Orlando in Celebration is having success with UHC Medicaid paying 100% of surgical, hospital, psych eval, anesthesia, and first year of follow up with surgeon.
