Randy what do you mean by "Sponsor"? If your using Dr.Baum as you Pschologist, I know they require you get someone who has received the sames surgery as your hoping to receive who is also at the least 6 months post-op, so you have a personal friend to ask questions besides waiting for a reply from a message board or your surgeon as sometimes we hesitate with some questions because we think their just too silly to ask. Hey Randy! Congrats on your decision- I had the lap band put in last October, and have had really good experiences with it. If you are looking for a band buddy- I can help! I don't know what criteria you need to accept a buddy, so I will be happy to share anything I know to help you. I am also here in St. Pete, which is a bonus. My surgeon is Dr. Murr in Tampa, but have been considering going to Rehnke for fills(IF I can get an answer form Susan Kay about my insurance... that is a whole different issue!). I had a lap band done on November 29 by Dr. Murr. He's wonderful. He does the fills at TGH Harborside. I have been having success but ran into a problem with a flipped port. I had to be readmitted and the correction was made. It was brutal but I survived. I've lost 2 sizes in clothing so I'm quite happy from a 28 to under a 24 is right on target for me.
