hello, has anyone have sugury in Naples?or Mexico

hello, i am form Naples fl and i am looking for a Bariatric surgeon that anyone can recomend me? i am looking for good prices becouse i will have to pay out of pocet i also was wondering about the Mexico sugury? has anyone done that there i want to go with lapband..... i am shoping around for prices thanks and hope to get some responce =)

Amy- I had the DS surgery so I do not know that much about the lap band, but I wanted to give you a heads on something. It seems to me in the past I have read on this forum of people who have had the band in Mexico and then had trouble finding a local surgeon who would do the fills. I do not know if this is a really big issue or if just a few people were having trouble with it -- but it is something you might want to check into. I know there are some excellent DS surgeons overseas but I do not know about lap band. Red

Hey Amy I had gastric Lap-band in Monterrey MX in August 2005 with Dr Roberto Rumbaut. I also was a self pay. The best think I could have ever done Not sure what his fee is now but I think its around 14,000 He is a little more in price they some others in MX but he is the VERY BEST OUT THERE!!!!!! I agree with the other poster above- find your "Fill Doc" first. There are Dr.s out there that will do it, but you have to be vigilant. I don't know of any Doc locally that would do it, so I can't help you there. But, if you have any questions regarding the Band or aftercare/follow up, I can help! Best wishes! Jo
