Jax, FL Support Group Meeting

Alright boys and girls, its that time again. There's a meeting this Saturday, April 7th from 10 AM to 2 PM. For the newbies, we meet at: 7256 Merrill Road - 4 houses down from the intersection of Merrill Road and Townsend Blvd. We're on the same side of the street at Walgreen's, next door to Semegon Chiropractors (where we park) and across the street from NAPA and McDonald's. Feel free to bring your breakfast and/or lunch and/or snacks and remember we're getting low on water so when you see it on sale..... If you have any clothes for the clothing exchange or any products for the product exchange or anything new you'd like for us to sample, bring it on. Don't forget to bring your priced garage sale items to donate to the house. Hopefully we'll do that sale soon. We were very successful last November and I'm waiting on the cookbook to come in so we can sell it at the next sale. For those of you who don't know.....we've compiled a cookbook of low carb recipes and its being printed as I type. The price of the book will be $12.95 plus $3.50 for postage. And, obviously, without the postage, it will be $12.95 at the garage sale. There are 250 recipes in the book and right at 100 of those are main dishes. I think you'll like the way its turned out as I've seen a draft copy and had to approve it before the printing. So, start talking it up. This might be a silly question but I am new to Jacksonville. I just moved here from Salt Lake City, UT and I was hoping to find a support group here. So, basically I just wanted to find out if the meeting is open to anyone. I am a little about this as I have not been to a support group meeting for quite some time, and well lets just say that the last group I was with left something to be desired. I do believe that support is one of the key ingredients to success with anything so I am hoping you will allow me to join you all. Thanks, Saundra

Hello, Saundra: I'm so sorry I didn't get back to you before today. I didn't get a notice that you had posted and just happened to be back on the Florida board today and saw this from you. Our door is open to everybody and we'd love to have you. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month so we had a meeting yesterday. We also have a luncheon every other Tuesday and we won't meet this week (on the 10th) but we'll be meeting the following Tuesday at Bennigan's on Baymeadows Road. Please email me. You're a brave woman to move from Sal Lake City of Jacksonville without a job to come to but maybe that means you can join us for lunch a time or two if your schedule works out that way. Or, maybe you'll be working close enough to the lunch locations (I pick them as we go) and you can take your lunch hour with us now and again. Anyway, please email me.
