Dr Jawad on Tuesday...what to expect

I have my first meeting at Dr Jawad's office on Tuesday...just wondering what to expect.........I am so excited but nervous already! Toni

First congrats on taking your first steps into what will be the new you! I had my lap RNY with Doc J this past 2/13. he is an awesome doctor with a terrific bedside manner. Very soft spoken as well. Not a big talker. His staff is awesome. Kevin is his right hand man and works out of the Orlando office for follow ups. Doc J has his own section on the OH Forums. Congrats on your decision for WLS. Dr Jawad and his staff are great! I had LapBand on 12/15 and have been seeing Kevin in Orlando since then. I love the attention they give me. You are in good hands

Toni, I had my surgery with Dr. Jawad over a year ago now..(wow can't believe its been that long!!). At the first meeting, you usually don't meet the Dr. It will be an information session, they'll talk about the procedures, check your weight and other comorbidities and then talk about insurance one on one. Its a great time to ask questions, and meet others going thru the same things as you. Dr. Jawad is such a sweet and caring man. He doesn't say alot but when you meet him, he'll answer any question or concern you have. Kevin, his NP is AWESOME! I miss seeing him, (I now live in Dallas) and he'll take very good care of you. Just listen to all they say, and you'll be fine. Best of luck! Amy
