Shirley, Hi! Glad to hear you are doing well. Going back to work already! If you are going to try a sleeping pill or even the Tylenol pm I would suggest trying it in the couple of days left before you return to work so you will know if you can take it on work days or not. I take ambien most nights. It doesn't give me any problems the next day but some people have problems with being too sleepy from it. You are right though if you have been unable to really rest you need something to help with that. Did I just read that you are going to the conference in May too? I am going. I can hardly wait to meet everyone! Good luck! See ya in Orlando! Kat

Shirley, have you've tried sleeping propped up like in a recliner for a few days or more. I as many had to sleep this way for a few weeks first out of surgery. And yes that's a WOW going back to work already. It must be a wow alone just caring for your children & husband. I needed a month before I started getting back to normal routines. We'll see you in Orlando. Mike

Definitely sleep propped in a recliner if you can. It is not comfy with a G Tube (if you have it). I slept that way til it was removed. Hang in there it does get better!!!!

I also had problems with sleeping for the first few weeks... Thank goodness there was only my hubby to take care of me... I finally resorted to taking the sleeping pills my surgeon prescribed... he said that most people have alot of problems sleeping the first few weeks then things return to normal and the pills were to help me keep on track... i've heard that this problem comes from having your body releasing fat and thereby you have too much energy for a bit!... sure wish i had that energy now! LOL
