2 Important Q's Need Your Help?!?!
Couple Q's I need answers to?
1) Has anyone suffered from a Plugged up Ear after Surgery? I had Surgery on Tuesday, came home yesterday and on the way home my Left Ear Plugged up. I've tried almost everything to Un-plug it. Sudafed, Ear Wax Cleaner, Popping my jaw, holding my nose and blowing, but it won't un-plug, starting to go {{{crazy}}}!!!
2) I was told I'm suppose to consume a Gallon of Water a day! How is this even near possible? I'm having a hard time downing two 20oz bottles, and half of that comes back up when I Burp, is this normal?
Thanks For Your
Rocko~~
Rock I still haven't found an answer about your ears yet. Was it fine going over the Skyway on your way home and only realized this upon waking up this morning?
The Water situation: your brand new you won't be getting too much down for awhile. Your over-doing it. Thus when your burping it's because you've drank too much too fast. And thus cause air to be trapped causing your discomfort and making you burp. Which I'm sure you then feel alittle better after burping. Slow down.
Dr.R has left the country just as he did shortly after my surgery to go to Guatemala to provide free medical surgeries to the needy and won't be back till April 9th. But Susan is here on call if you need assistance. Don't hesitate to call her.

Allergies are a bummer this time of year, I was stopped up for 2 wks and finally cleared up. Went bike riding with my husband yesterday and the dot workers were mowing and was stirring up all kinds of stuff, we rode in it for 2 miles,,and my ears are blocked,,probably the tubes have fluid in them, sigh,,sux but its part of life around here!!!
I do know just how you feel well about the water.....
The ears I have to say it must be all the polland in the air.
Now back to the water I am not having any come back up
But to drink that much in a day's time we have to be drinking
constantanly.... And I just can't it won't go down. I has lap RNY
on the 19th of March and I feel pretty good I am going back to work
Monday. Just keep sipping all day long and if you wake up in the night too...
Good luck to ya and stay sipping.
Hey Rocko,
Like everyone has already said,,,,sip,,,sip,,,sip. This can be done. We can no longer 'down' fluids like before,,,,I know what you mean. The one thing we really want to avoid is vomiting. ESPECIALLY NOW. Your band needs to heal in place, which is why we progress from fluids to mush,,,,so the stomach does not have to churn. Violent, repeted vomiting is the greatest cause of band slips. We must take care of our bellies now.
Now,,,aobut your ear. For what it's worth, when I have an earache,,,or water from swimming, or clogged from whatever, I microwave a little olive oil. Just enough to make it warm. Then I take a medicine dropper, and squeeze a few drops in my ear, laying on the other ear, so the oil will drip down. I don't know WHY this works,
but it does. Again,,,,for what it's worth.
