Gainesville/North Central FL

Just looking to see if there are any peeps out there who are in the North Central Florida area. I'm hoping to find a support group to get hooked into pre-op, to help ease into things afterwards. The OH contact person for G'Ville isn't really in Gville. So, I found out after I emailed her all excited and such. Would love to find out more about those locally. I'm 32 years old with a BMI of 42. Planning on having the RNY done. My pre op appointment is May 16th 2007. Most of my consultation stuff is scheduled beforehand. My psych and gallbladder ultrasound appointments are tomorrow morning. Wish me luck and look forward to getting to know a few of you.

Marney, My name is Hugh Gibson and I live in Williston and had my surgery on January 15th in Gainesville by Doctor Hipp. I have had no problem with my surgery. Of course sometimes I eat or drink too fast and don't feel good afterwards, but it a learning process. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Will you consider coming to this years OH Conference in Orlando, May 5th? Two years ago I went as a Pre-op and this past year as a Post-op. It's such a Great Motivator and you'll meet so many that will keep you Motivated. Maybe we'll even meet you at the Meet & Greet, Friday evening atop of the DoubleTree Castle Hotel? Mike
