Scared?

So I had my surgery in 04/2006...I hit 50 lbs (30%excess) in my 7/8 months.... then it all went down hill.... I got a fill, the next month I lost 9lbs! yay, but then the next month it felt really tight (i was also sick during that month w/ congestion issues) and gained 4lbs so my doc gave me an unfil of 1cc...then i gained 4 more lbs!! then he add .8 back...and so now its about 2 1/2 weeks since then and i am kinda steady going up and down a 1lb a week.... two months ago when i lost the 9lbs i felt tight and ate a little...but the last month or so since he unfilled me then filled me again I feel like i cant stop eating and dont really feel 'tight'...i am afraid i messed something up? or stretched? maybe i just hit a plateau? but i am always feeling hungry? any suggestions? I was doing soo good, I am so afraid to mess up and want to continue loosing.....I am a month away from my 1 year band-iversary and i am only 5lbs farther than i was at month 7/8?!?!?

Jennifer, Hi! I am sorry to hear you are having these problems. I had RNY but I attend a support group with lots of bandsters and we were just talking about a similar issue today. One of the surgeons here just told one of my friends that if she is eating much more than a cup at a meal she is eating too much. I would suggest keeping a food diary for a few days or a week and write down everything that goes in your mouth. And then present it to your surgeon and ask for his opinion about what is going on with you. It may be that you need another fill. Remember gains and losses also affect the tissue of the stomach so you may now need more fluid for the same restriction that you had earlier. Good luck to you and I hope this helps! Kat
