Surgeon Around Naples??

Hi - Greetings from the gorgeoeus Coastal Redwoods in CA. I have a dear friend who lives on Marcos Island. He is looking for a GOOD bariatric surgeon (he's specifically interested in the LapBand.) in or around Naples. thanks for any recommendations. Barb From CA [email protected]

Hi Barb - Naples Barbi here - I would strongly suggest that your friend contact Dr Raul Rosenthal in Weston @ Cleveland Clinic. The only Bariatric surgeon in Naples is Dr Liberman and in my most humble opinion, he doesn't have enough surgeries - RNY or Lap under his belt. Dr Rosenthal is 1.25 hours away in Weston -right across alligator alley. From Marco Island it should only take an additional 15 mins as he's driving across Collier Blvd to the I-75 entrance. Feel free to give your friend my email address - I had my rny 11/30/2005 and I've lost 208lbs to date and I'm feeling fine! Let him know that there is a 3oz meeting the 3rd tuesday of each month @ Physician Regional medical center in the dr's dining room 5:30 pm. Tell him good luck! Barbi

Hate to contradict Barb -- since we know each other, but I used Dr. Liberman in Naples and his specialty is gastric surgeries of all types. He's not a volume surgeon since his practice is gastric surgery, not solely bariatric, but extremely competent. If you friend wants to speak with me (or some of the other folks who have had surgery with Liberman, just PM me. We also have a support group at Physician's Regional and he is welcome to come over and meet the group. We meet monthly.
