WOW Alexandra, only a few more days. Now your doing great just say positive along your way to getting on the Tain to Loserville along your Journey to becoming healthier. Check out the February 2007 Forum on OH where you'll meet others having WLS in February. But we'll be here for you too! Maybe we'll see you at the 2007 OH Conference as well as many others in Orlando on May 5th? God Bless You, mike

Congratulations on your big day Alex, right around the corner now!!! I've heard of your surgeon, but never met him. I had my surgery at Mercy Hospital with Dr Eddie Gomez, my hero LOL. Try to follow with a support group after surgery, it really does help. Do you have any friends that have had the surgery? This site including the board for Feb 2007 will help you a lot. The October 05 board really helped me that first year, after we all hit our one year mark tho, unfortunately our board died out! Just follow your doctor's orders and you'll do fine. My best advice to you is to drink your water - every day - no matter how hard it is. In the beginning its definitely not easy, but it does get easier. Water is CRUCIAL! Even now 16 months out I focus on my water every day and drink at least 70 oz a day, most days more. I wish you the best!!! You must be so excited! This surgery is beyond amazing and you will exerience and learn many things over the next year. Take lots of pictures too, it's fun to look back. I went from the size 5X in scrubs to the Medium in exactly one year! Oh and Goodwill - the best place for the "temporary" clothes you'll need. I couldn't see buying anything brand new and only wearing it for a few weeks. I love Goodwill! You can PM me if you'd like, always remember OH is here too, lots of good help here all the time! Take care of yourself and good luck!!!! ((((((HUGS))))) Jeanne

Oh Alex... just a few more hours and you'll be on the losing side! Bet you can't wait! Soon as you can log on and let us know how you're doing. Me still being pre op and still having so many more months to wait, I'm always very interested to hear how new post ops are doing. -Marianne C. Hudson, FL
