Dr. Hipp

Anyone here know of or have any reports on Dr. Hipp of Gainsville?

Debra, I had my Gastric Bypass surgery on Jan 15th and Dr Hipp was my doctor and still is for followup! The guy knows his stuff. He makes sure you have a pain button available to you as soon as you get out of surgery. The does the surgery at North Florida Regional Medical Center. The only thing I didn't like was I was never able to get a private room, but no big deal. The guy who was in the bed on the other side of the curtain from me was constantly yelling in pain from a knee replacement, which kept me awake alot at night. But getting back to Dr Hipp, I would highly recommend him and his surgical team. I went into surgery on a Monday and I went home on that Thursday. Now Thursday night and Friday at home were alittle rough because I just couldn't get comfortable, but the medicene I had to pickup worked great those two days. By Saturday I was starting to feel alot better and it only got better from there. I had no complications and I wasn't in any pain while I was in the hospital. They made me walk the walls the evening of my surgery to help prevent blood clots. Anyway, I hope you choose him because I don't think there is better choice out there. Also, there is a Gastric Surgery Support Group that holds meeting at the North Florida Regional Medical Center Conference Room Tower 3 at 7:00 to 8:30pm. Here are the dates if you want to attend sometime. Either before surgery or after it doesn't matter. February 21th March 21 April 18 May 16 June 20 July 18 August 15 September 19 October 17 November 14 December 12 I hope you can attend sometime. I plan to attend on February 21st.
