I can't believe I'm posting this, but here goes.... I need some advise from my oh friends as to how to put on weight. I'm eating well, I continue to supplement with my isopure protein shakes yet I'm still losing weight. All my labwork is fine but I'm teetering between 140-148 lbs soaking wet. Heck I've even kept my sneakers on when I weigh in - every other week. Please don't get me wrong -I'm not fixating, I'm eating balanced meals, continue to take my vit/supplements and I'm am getting my 64++ ounces of water/milk/coffee in daily. I just wonder if there comes a point when you STOP losing and stabalize. Barbi

Hey there Girlie!!!! I am eating carbs although just a few because my body DOES not tolerate em well....My son is starting on his journey - just had a full work up and a apnea study. Once the PCP gets all the test results we're going to go to the meeting @ CC-Weston and then schedule his consult with Dr Rosenthal. Will keep you posted. How are you feeling?

Schedule an appointment with your Surgeon and if you see a Dietitian/Nutritionist. They will have the Professionnal Advice on this. But as a Loser still, you may want to ask at a Health Food Sore or somewhere like GNC. What do Body Builders use to Bulk Up. There are Protein Shakes which will make you gain weight to help you stablize from losing. Plus still getting in the sources of the Whey proteins. You look fanatasic! Wish I lived closer to ask you out! Good job, Mike

God Barb...How lucky are you? You mean in all this time you're still losing weight? I just had 1 fill (mine was 10/30/06) and it did nothing whatsoever and I'm always hungry....my friend just had her 5th fill and Eureka! she finally feels some restriction!!! I'm praying for that day cause I'll eat before I let nausea from hunger set in! Go and have some fabulous food at the Cheesecake Factory or tons of chinese food....I live for the day when I have this problem! Good Luck! Shelley

HEy Shelley - I'm sure you're jobking... I hope so anyway! I made the decision to have the procedure so I could go healthy and I plan on staying that way. From the other posts it sounds like stabilization will start soon enough. Thanks for posting! Barbi

It's usually at around 18 months...you still have a few to go, right? Maybe keep it steady until you reach that point, and worry more if things don't level off after that.

Barbi, you will stop. You will hit your lowest and then bounce up 5-10 lbs. People told me I looked like a skeleton. I was told that the body would distribute itself, and stabalize and it has. My lowest was 113, now I stay between 118-123 . Still the size 3 I was, but I look balanced and healthy. Don't get tempted to eat bad stuff to gain weight, because you will regret bad habits later! blessings, Tami

In my journey I stopped at 16 months losing...stabilzed at 152lb at 5'9. In my 23rd month I lost down to 130 which was my bare minimum I could be...size 2. I did gain and little back since then 5-10 pounds but I drop that frequently back down to 130 but I never go below that point, my body controls that. Believe me, I was scared I wouldn't stop at one point but my body did and I am happy where I stand right now. I have had to change up things, drinking and eating at the sametime is as far as I go personally, I don't intake more. I am too afraid lose control and become heavy again. I would for sure talk to your doctor but remember your still under 2 years out.
