Good Luck as my Surgeon stopped taking Medicaid patients as Medicaid is not paying the bills. For that fact all Medicare patient's are on hold too since Medicare hasn't paid lately either. And all of the Operations were Pre-Approved.

Thanks! I know Medicaid don't help much at all. I hate being on it. I'm also needing a neuro surgeon to take Medicaid, and have been told good luck with that also. My doctor told me to get after Medicaid and tellem to get off their tushes, that you(meaning myself) has documented proofs that you need a neurosurgeon. I don't see why me getting after Medicaid would help. They do what they want to. I've been corrisponding with medicaid on both, they gave me a name of a bariatric in Gainsville, said it would have to be preapproved first, but to have my doctor call them. My doctor said to get my back tended to first. I think he's goofy! I feel if I can get my weight down, there is a CHANCE that I may not need it, or at least be able to post pone it for a good while. I also know that past neurosurgeons in other states have told me that I need to lose some weight before they would consider touching my back. Medicaid gave me a number of a neuro surgeon at Shands in Jacksonville, that take Medicaid patients by case to case. I guess depending on the situation or whatever, I don't know. My doctors nurse that schedules appointments said they've tried there and said that Shands is taking it, but when it gets to the doctors it gets turned down, because Medicaid is not paying, or not paying what the doctors want for payment, they only pay a part of. So what are patients like myself to do if we can't get the medical help? It SUCKS! :-( Thanks, for the lucxk!

If you have the UHC Medicaid product we (US Bariatric Orlando) can probably help. So far, we have gotten all of our UHC Medicaid patients approved for 100% of the costs (surgeon, program fee - whi*****ludes one year of aftercare, anaesthesia, psych evaluation and surgery). Kristen

Ah Cool! I guess. I don't have UHC Medicaid, I have Medipass Medicaid. I'd like to attend a seminar. Are you the ones I've seen on my research that are at Celebration, at Florida Hospital or the one closer to 50, where are you located in Orlando? On a one or two of the websites I've requested to attend a seminar. At the moment I don't remember which one or if I did it on both. I just did it last night. So hoping to hear from that. My bf and I are planning on spending some time next month at a resort near Kissemee. So it would be great to schedule attending a seminar about the same time. My email [email protected] or [email protected]

US Bariatric Orlando is located at Florida Hospital in Celebration. We have a lap-band only info session on Mondays at 6:00PM, and an all-surgery info session every Wednesday at 6:00PM. Also, we have an online, on-demand info session. HTH, Kristen

Ok, then when we get in the area will try to attend the info sessions. Do I have to register for the info sessions? What is the web address to put in for an online session? In the mean time will work on my PA, to get him talked into helping me try to get setup to have the lapband. I had someone over the weekend that has had back surgery done. He sort of explained why he thinks my doc wants me to get the back taken care of first. Which does make sense. But I also have to keep the heart in mind, which would be easier on that, on which to have done first. In the mean time until can get it set up it don't hurt to get all the info I need. Oh yeah, what is the UHF Medicaid? Thanks! Deb
