looking for wls dr from bradenton to tampa

Hey Im a fellow former Rochesterian with family ties still there...living in Orlando. I had my wls surgery with Dr. Overcash of Ocala - which in either direction is about an hr away - let me know if you need any info. Hugs!

Get real Ocala from Tampa Bay is at leat 2-3 hour drive depending on traffic. There are several Surgeon's in the Tampa Bay area. Dr.Murr at Tampa General and Dr. Rehnke at the Palms of Pasadena in St. Petersburg hold the Medicare "Center of Excellence" Awards. But there are other surgeons too. Which surgery were you thinking of receiving? And when were you planning on having it done? If not till after next summer you may want to attend the 2007 Florida OH Conference, which is still being planned to be held in Tampa Bay. At which I'm hoping many Weight Loss Surgery & Plastic Surgeon's will be represented by themslves and their staffs. Good Luck in your search. Hi, I had my gastric bypass with Dr. Gallagher and Dr. Murr at Tampa General Hospital. I think (and this is just my opinion) they are the best in the Tampa Bay area. They have a fantastic pre op program and a very in depth post op program. They have pre and post op support groups. I just can't say enough about them. Good luck on your search. Patty

They also do WLS at Lakeland Regional Hospital, Lakeland, Florida..... which is only 30-40 mi. from Tampa.
