I am so upset. I don't know what to do. I am eating myself into oblivion and I can't seem to help myself. Yes of course I feel this way now. I just finished guzzling down enough for 2 at Mc Doanlds. But once I get hungry again or bored, I will start stuffing my face again. I have been able to stop all other vices / bad habits with minor effort but I can't stop over eating and not eating the right kind of foods. It is only a matter of time before I see more serious consequences. I have sleep apnea, although not officially diagnosed, my snoring wakes me and I have recorded myself sleeping and it is definitely sleep apnea. I am wondering if any of these surgeries will cause loss of appetite. I am wondering if any of these surgeries are right for me since I have such issues with impulse eating and self control. I am at my wits and I so tired of being fat.

well... they dont really cause loss of appetite... BUT they do cause less room for eating....that is causing your impulses? i think its important to figure out what that problem is.... then go onto the weight loss.. "this is surgery on our tummy's.. not our brains"... my dr is dr rosenthal at cleveland clinic in weston... his number is 9546595000...

Thanks for the reply. I agree the operation is for the tummy However most candidates for these surgeries are getting to their weight because of an underlying "mental problem". Regardless of how subtle; a food addiction, nervous eating, bored eating, lack of self control (impulse control). It is all mental.
