Sharp pains

For the last 2 nights have been having sharp stabbing pains in my stomach. I do not have a fever or anything like that. I think they are gas pains but they hurt so much. I was in tears last night and almost went to the hospital but then it got better. I do think they are gas pains and it happens mostly after I eat. Has anyone had something similar? What foods trigger gas pains? Oh and thank you all for being so helpful when I post a question I always get great helpful advice. Yes it sounds like gas pains BUT your Only one month Post-Op. PLEASE call your Surgeon Immeadiately, right now to make sure nothing else is going on inside you unexpectantly. So why are you still reading go call them! But please do let us know what it was/is, so other may be made adwared of too.

Thanks guys for being concerned. It did go away and I haven't had the problem. I am going to consult it with my doctor at my visit next week. I think it was gas but just to be safe Im gonna mention it. I am feeling actually really excited this week. It my 1 month aniversary.!!! and I lost 27 lbs!!!! What What!!!!!

Hi Diana, Call your surgeon ASAP. It could just be gas or your gallbladder, but you are such a new post-op that you must rule out anything surgery-related immediately. Kristen

Diana - please don NOT wait until your next appt. CALL YOUR DR ASAP! Mention it to him and let him be the one to decide what's what- don't be afraid just be as educated as you can about your own body and it's new way of talking to you. Until then - use the Dr as your translator!!!! Barbi
