Need Support?
Most bariatric surgeons agree: Ongoing support after surgery leads to the greatest level of success.
Why? Because support group gives you a great opportunity to discuss personal or professional issues that arise from surgery or from a history of obesity. And it allows you to surround yourself with people who understand and support your goals, which directly increases your chances of long-term success.
Support group also helps you to develop realistic expectations. That is, weight loss surgery will not immediately resolve existing emotional difficulties, or heal the years of damage caused by a lifetime of being overweight.
Because support group is so important, our surgeons recommend ongoing support group participation for you. Turn to your U.S. Bariatric Orlando support group before and after your surgery for short-term questions and long-term camaraderie. And don't forget - the office is open late on support group nights for weigh-ins, socializing and vitamin/supplement purchases.
The next LAP-BAND Support Group meeting is this Monday, January 8th at 7:30PM.
The next General Suport Group (RNY, Sleeve and Lap-Band) meeting is this Wednesday, January 10th at 7:30PM.
Where: Florida Hospital Celebration Health, 400 Celebration Place, Celebration, FL 34747, Conference Room 2.
Support Group is for both pre- and post-op patients. We welcome patients, support members, family members, and the general public. You may be a part of the group regardless of where your surgery was performed.
We hope to see you next week!

Thank you for your prompt response. I just figured I was on my own with this and hoped others with the same issue would respond. I can't imagine what the hospital will do as they aren't responsible for my surgery but the doctor is. I'll wait till Friday and then contact you again. I'm also having my PCP request all the hospital records/details.
