Jacksonville Support Group Needed

I would like to know of a support group in the Jacksonville area that meets in the evening. Does anyone have this info? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Don't know if there is one or not but if there I'm interested...Lucy have you already had the lapband done? If so when and who was your doctor? I'm am beginning the process to have it done so would love to hear from you. Thanks, Lynell

Dear Lynell....and I hope Lucy gets a copy of this post!!!! I'm the person who heads up the support group that Kat told you about in her post. We DO meet on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays from 10 to about 2 and people come and go at their leisure. They bring their breakfast, lunch and snacks and we just hang out and talk and fellowship and learn. One hard fast rule....what goes on there, stays there. But if night are better for you, there are many in the Jacksonville area. There's one in Mandarin, headed by Jenn, and she meets every other Tuesday night at the library. I went to the Memorial Hospital support group meeting just last night. That's always on the 2nd Thursday of the month, 7 PM. My surgeon, Robert Cywes, has a support group meeting at his office the 1st and 3rd Thursday nights at 7 PM at his office which is near the St. Nicholas area on Beach Blvd. Dr. Jawad will soon start a meeting here and Dr. Overcash has a meeting here but that's on a Saturday. Dr. Webb also has a meeting at Memorial Hospital and I believe its on the 1st Tuesday of the month. You can call the hospital to be sure and Rhonda Rapp is the contact person. We'd love to have you come visit with us. If you're interested, please let me know. We're trying to do more fun things... like tomorrow we're going to work out together, have a parafin treatment on our hands and feet, try out some new FDA cream to soften your skin, and have a sauna for our use after our workout. Hi Ladies! I am not sure about an evening support group in Jax. but I go to one on Saturday morning. We meet every other Saturday and sometimes once or twice a month for lunch together because msome of the members work weekends and can only join us on weekdays. We meet every other Saturday on Merrill Rd. next door to SemegonChiropractic. Also across the street from McDonalds and the NAPA auto parts store. I will ask at tomorrows meeting if anyone knows of an evening meeting. I know some of the group go to other meetings as well so they may know of one. We'd love to have you at ours if you'd like to come. We meet from 10am until usually2 or 3 pm but you can come and go as you wish and bring your lunch, snack or whatever. Tomorrow we will ending at 1pm. Kat
