dont feel i'm losing enough weight

went to my pcp today he was happy i lost 10pds, i feel i should have lost alot more, I had the lapband surgery on the 26th of Dec,2006. im drinking clear liquid, is that enough.pcp said it is better to lose the weight slowly,what do u think.

Ruth your only 9 days Post-Op. 10 pounds is great for a Lap Bander, who usually only lose a couple of pounds every few weeks. It's best to follow what plan your surgeon has asked you to follow as going to other plans may & may not help. You'll get to your goal sooner than you realize, just grow some patients along the way too. Mike

You're doing great!! The average for the lap band with weight loss is 1-2lbs a week. You're only 9 days out and you've lost almost a pound a day so far. You didn't put the weight on over night, try not to expect it to come off over night. Just concentrate on healing and getting your protein in and following your surgeons guidelines.
