Marijuana Use Post Deleted
Came scouting through to see what other state messages are like.
I saw your post about a week ago regarding marijuana on OH.
Isn't this a pity!!! Someone who won't abide by the federal law and feel it's their RIGHT to c/o how OH won't discuss how it affects wls.
Take some responsibility for your lack of disregard for your country's laws. Get over the fact that wls won't coddle your desires to 'discuss' how it could affect your wls.
A suggestion for you would be that if you desire to talk about marijuana in regards to your wls, take your discussion to whoever you get your drugs from. Also, thank your lucky stars you weren't turned in.
Give me a friggin break people! There was nothing wrong with her post. This is a support website NOT a holier-than-thou website. Do you all realize how many people on this website are addicted to one thing or another (illegal or not)? Do you know how many people come on here asking how to get around insurance requirements? Do you know how many people come on this website and ask how to fool the psych eval? Both of these are illegal. How many of you did that?
You self-righteous preachers should be ashamed of yourselves for treating a sister WLSer like that. I saw one poster say something like "why get the surgery if you are going to sabotage it?" Isn't that exact same thing done by a member here everyday? Quote "I knew better but I did it anyway! What do I do now?"
It is not our place or job to judge OH members for their choice of lifestyle. Gay marriage is illegal in many parts of this country but I know we have some members who are among that group. Are you going to castigate them also? Bet not.
People are asking for help and support and that is what we are suppose to be providing here. If you can't do that in a positive manner then don't answer the post. Live and let live.

The people who would rather judge than just see my question as someone asking for information, are the same people who make fun of others, who are catty, and self righteous. What can I say? I have been a hippie, human rights activist for most of my life. I am doing something to change this world, and if toking every now and then makes you think I am "bad" that is your problem. I actively work to make everyday a better day in this world, what are they doing about it? When was the last time they visited a refugee camp in Uganda? When was the last time they stood up in the face of civil rights violations and tried to make a change even though my life could be taken for it? Instead of judging me, judge yourselves! At least I have the balls to ask the real questions regardless of what some people have to say!
Dlovely - you may have the right to post the question,however this isn't the right forum. No one here is a professional skilled at responding. I don't even know if there have been studies done regarding the effects of mj on post surgical wls patients.
I didn't see the original post, however, I'm curious - did you post this question to your surgeon? They're bound by the privacy law to keep your file confidential. As an educated individual as yourself you know, that would be the most effect place to get answers. I just think you're a little too defensive regarding people's response.
Again, I didn't see the original post and this isn't about being right or wrong, but like the times people have posted about pain and odd bleeding etc etc....just about every response has been contact your dr asap....I believe that should have been the best response to your original post about mj usage.

whens the last time you did cpr on a 17 yoa child who got shot in the chest because of a drug deal ( weed and weed only) gone bad... in front of his hysterical mother while she prays and asks me to keep going when I KNOW HE IS DEAD? see.... im not judging you... i dont care what you do or what you dont do.... weed is not as simple as people think it is... i wish you the best
