Support group needed in Miami Beach
Hi guys does anyone know of a support group near or around miami beach. I had my surgery on Dec 11, 2006. I don't think I am doing anything right! the scale has not moved since Dec 21,2006. I am trying to stick to the diet but I do cheat. I have not gotten sick at all either (which I am not complaining about). Does anyone know how many calories I should be intaking a day, how much weight should I be losing per week??????? Help Please, I feel like maybe something is not going right!
Please feel free to join us at Mercy Hospital. Pretty close to the beach really, probably the closest you'll get. The support group for post op is the 4th Wed of each month, so for this month it's Jan 24th. It's 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. There is a pre op group on the 2nd Wed of each month, and a few of us post ops attend when we can, to help out a little. But the post op is the 4th Wed of each month. I'm 14 months out and I think the support group is helpful. Sometimes I wi**** was every week! Take care, let me know if you need any more info.

There is a Support Group that meets in Hollywood, Fla. The WLS Veterans Support Group is independent of all medical programs. It is a support group run by and for long term veteran weight loss surgery graduates. Meetings are held the third Thursday of each month at the Esther Grossman Center located at 4320 Sheridan Street, Hollywood 33021. Each month we have different speakers or topics of discussion.
