Puree Foods - any suggestions
Okay... today is one week since I have been home. On Thursday, my Doctor told me I can very slowly progress to the Puree stage. I just don't know what to eat. Mashpotatoes seem to stick to the stomach, at least it feels that way. I am also still trying to get a feel for my "new stomach" and what it is like to be full.
Any suggestions would be great. Thank you.
My profile has lots of helpful food lists and what to eat at each stage. this is the information from my doc. Both he and I are very much against any carbs until 6 months out, only complex carbs. So I hope those potatoes make you get sick, because you need to stay away from them!!!! No, I don't want you to get sick in reality.....just want to encourage you to stay away from them, and really soar with this weight loss tool. Let me know if I can help more ok?
Merry christmas blessings, Tami
Hi - I had my lap-band done 9/29/06, and have had 3 fills. Here is a short list of foods that my surgeon provided; cottage cheese with or without unsweetened applesauce, reduced fat peanut butter/sugar free jelly, ricotta cheese with or without puree fruit, puree meats (baby foods) I'm one of the weird ones who like the baby food meats, hummus (chick pea spread), low fat puree beans. If you have access to a fax I will send you their dietary suggestions. :thumbsup
Morning Kimberly,
Instead of pureed which was an option our nutritionist suggested baby food....lol
Yes I ate the ugly green veggies and sweet potato's. It worked for me. Just wanted to throw it out as a suggestion. Also Baptist Healthcare has an awesome website with some great eating suggestions for post op's.
Good Luck,
Jim Bouler
