Hi To All~ Well, I am 2 weeks post op and doing well. I went to the doctor 12/13 and it all went very well and I am happy to say I am down 23 #'s. I was very surprised. I thought maybe 10-15, but not 23. Not that I am complaining!! I was advanced to "pureed" diet , but so far I have not tried anything actually "pureed". Mainly because it does not appeal to me. I have been eating everything soft and if I need to chew, I chewed several times before swallowing. I was wondering if anyone could give me some input on "pureed" diet. All info is greatly appreciated... Thanks~ Kelli

I am not going to lie the only thing I ate on the puree diet was mashpotatoes and tunafish salad. everything else did not sound appleasing to me either so for a week I lived on potatoes and tuna.

Then and still now the only sorta pureed foods I ate/eat is eggs, like egg salads. Otherwise it's been real food just chew, chew, chew. Sometimes I don't chew enough and do pay for it later on. It's a fact that the more you chew and the more solid the food, the faster and longer you'll feel full. Congratulations on your lost so far. Bet you'd never guess you'd be thanking anyone for being a total loser did you? Good luck & keep us and your profile posted. And if you feel uneasy at all don't hesitate to call your surgeon.

Hi Kelli, I ate anything that I could either puree in a blender or chew to the consistency of applesauce. When I write "anything," that is foods that were high in protein, low in fat, low to no carbohydrates. HTH, Kristen
