Restaurant Card

It is my understanding that there is a card that one can use to ask a restaurant to give us Bypass patients either smaller meas and/or cheaper prices. I found this information in a book, WLS for Dummies, but the website (which was actually here on Obesityhelp.com) is no longer available. Does anyone now or can suggest a place I can either download for have one mailed to me? Thanks and best regards for a hppy holiday Noreen

My Doctor gave me one. Have you asked your surgeon's office. Most of them have cards.

Your doctor should have gave you one, they gave me mine at the pre admission appt. Maybe you could call them and ask them about it. I know that you used to be able to print one off of Obesity Help,I looked and couldnt find it, you might email them and ask them if you still can.

I have mine from Cleveland Clinic but I will be honest with you. You spend more time "explaining" the purpose than it's worth. I learned to order an appetiser or soup at the very start and more recently, my family, friends and I now share. One little tip I got from here....get yourself an appy plate and transfer the food to it. It will help you with portion control! Good Luck! Barbi

Thanks to all *****plied to my post. I did contact Dr Rosenthal's office and they are going to send me a card that they use. I also downloaded Red's cards, so now I'm fully armed for when I go out to eat. I haven't yet; I still have food issues and I'm afraid of getting sick in a retaurant. I love the idea of sharing food. I'll give that a try. I use a small plate when I'm eating at home, just so my family will get off my back that I'm not eating "enough"! It looks like a lot of food on a small plate! Best regards, Noreen
