Florida property tends to be on the high side, especially around the "coastal" area's. I live on the South/Central Western coast of FL and it's not that great either. However, it is a buyers market at the moment The size of 'affordable housing' ranges from 600 sq feet (yes... it's a house... somehow) to as much as 2100 sq feet. By affordable I mean between 169000 to 280000.

HiJack! Hi Lynda, Haven't seen you on in a while. How is life treating you? Did you decide to have plastics in Boston or down here? How was Leilani's visit? I hate I couldn't work it out to "play" with you gals for a bit but I just wasn't up to it, maybe next time. Hope ya'll had a great time! Vickie J.

Hi I have been here 3 years and the prices have gone up like crazy. Ridiculously in my opinion because the wages here are very low compared to Ohio where I am from. Anyway, I would also consider once you know the house or area to contact any insurance company to insure the home. Many companies are no longer writing "NEW" policies which a lot of times causes you to use Citizens Insurance and they are charging a very high amount in home owner's insurance. It is getting bad here. In fact, we are thinking of taking a driving trip this summer to check out other warm places because these prices are just going up to much and the wages are staying the same. Good Luck~ Kelli

I had to reply to your post because I too am moving in your vicinity, near the Tampa area, hubby has job transfer to Tampa airport. I was wondering about the area of Dunedin and so forth,,,I am also looking on realtor.com but its very basic stuff..any suggestions will be appreciated. I currently am in Michigan near the Toledo border and from what I see around here its pretty much the same price wise just a difference in insurance, taxes and so forth....Thanks in advance!!
