TINGLING IN THE LEGS ANYONE??
I am almost a year post-op, and lately I have been experiencing a slight tingling and a very slight numbness in my legs, nothing to freak out over, but just want to know if anyone out there has had this happen to them. It mostly happens if I sit down for long or cross my legs. I'm sure it's nothing and not related to the surgery at all. If anyone has any feedback on this I would appreciate it.
Thanks.
Joanne
I thank you all for your replies and will answer u all. I do have a pinched nerve near my shoulder so who knows it could be from that, and also I have really bad tail bone pain from losing all the weight so that could be a connection also. I am having my one year check up monday, dec. 4th so will address it to the doctor, I also get my lab results back so I will see if there is a B-12 deficiency, I do get B-12 shots every month though. I will Let you know if there's anything else to report.
Thanks again.
Joanne
I have the same problem when I sit too long or cross my legs. While sitting in my surgeon's office talking (with my legs crossed) He noticed under my toenails were turning blue. He told me to uncross my legs to see if it went away, and it did. So I try to be conscious of crossing my legs. That was the case for me.....I would still ask a professional. Are you getting enough B-12?
I assume that when you get up and move around the numbness goes away? Now that I have less padding of my own, sitting on an unpadded seat can become uncomfortable rather quickly. I imagine that nerves that used to more "padded" are now easier to pinch than previously.
On the topic of vitamins, I have heard that you can overdose on B6 if you are not careful, which will also cause numbness.
