Love my new life in Sunny Fl

Well I moved to Florida. I am loving the warmth. I am so happy to be away from the cold of NY. I got a job for the holidays at JC Penneys in the jewelry dept. Seems great so far. I attended a support group meeting here and will go again this month. I do miss all of my family & friends and also my NY support group. But I am sure in time I will feel at home here. Hugs all Mary

So your enjoying your new Florida Life. Will this be permanent or as Snow Birds? I'm in Clearwater. I just became an OH leader and will be starting a Open Support Group in Jan./Feb.2007 at the Clearwater YMCA. About an 45 minute to an hour South of you. Mike, I am in Hudson, Fl. and will snowbird for a year or 2. I really don't know if I want to go back to NY for much longer but it will be nice to see family & friends. I found a support group at the Community Hospital in Port Richie. I was really hoping they had one at Bayonet Point but that is just for Banding. It is very close to my house. Oh well! Very cool you are in OH magazine.!!! That must be awesome! I am thinking I want to decorate a palm tree lol. Mary

Glad to hear that your liking Fl.. I moved to Panama City Fl from Southern California 2 months ago but I can't say I am as happy as you are! I guess I just miss my friends and family so much but like you said in time it will feel like home... Best of luck!
