Sometimes it takes a little while for the loss to show in your clothing size and then boom over night everything in your closet is just hanging on you. Red

Clothing in plus sizes has a lot of slack in the sizing. I started at 242 lbs in a 2X. Dropped 35 lbs before I changed sizes, but instead of a 1X, I went directly to a regular 16. The smaller clothing sizes can take as little as 5-7 lbs, but big sizes have a lot of slack. Also, were your 26s stretchy. I know a number of my 2Xs were Carolyn Strauss and Slinky Brands, so they accommodated a great deal of loss -- adjusting for the size.

Jamie, I didnt start dropping pant sizes until MONTHS out!! I'm now in an 18, but I was in a 26/28 until atleast 4-5 months out. It'll happen though.. Don't worry!!

I too started in a 26 and I had lost 60 lbs before I could really go down a size!!! Now at 5 months post-op and 92 lbs gone I am in size 18...Don't worry to much about it because before you know it you'll be going through sizes like crazy!!

If you were like me you wear stretch pants and as you lose you need less stretch but they still fit.

It has a lot to do with how you're weight is coming off. Some lose it all in one area, while others loose it over a variety of areas. Take and keep track of your own personal measurements (and dont squeeze the measuring tape for smaller numbers - you'll only be lying to yourself if you do). That way you can see where it is and isnt coming off (our eyes and clothes are not very accurate). I am 2 months out and have only lost 24lbs since surgery, however I have lost 31 inches. During my liquid diet phase pre-op I did lose about 16lbs and the first place I noticed it left... my fingers and feet LOL! My feet were flopping in my shoes and my rings were slipping off of my fingers. Then post-op it started coming off in the hip/ab area which works for me! If I didnt have my measurements I would probably be disappointed with such a low number of weight loss. I also believe it's a lower number because I have been building up / toning muscles
