Hotel by Hospital in Ocalla???

Hello All, I got my date NOVEMBER 22 WOO HOOOOOOOO Plans are we will leave for Ocalla after we get the kiddies off to school Tuesday the 21st. Then we will get a hotel that night & be at the hospital at 6am on Wednesday the 22nd. I will be at the Monroe Hospital in Ocalla. Would anyone know of a close hotel, not too expensive??? Thanks All!!!

Julie- There is a website hospitalsoup.com where you can look up hospitals -- and get lists of nearby hotels. I did a search for Munroe (correct spelling) and got to the following page. You should just have to click on the link for "discounted hotels nearby." The hotels are listed by distance from the hotel! If the link does not work I have also included the link for the website. It has been my experience that sometimes you get better rates calling the hotels directly or going to that particular chain's website -- and do not forget to ask for any discounts you may be entitled to ie government, AAA, AARP. Another place to look for good rates once you have an idea where you want to stay is the Sam's Club website, if you are member. This is of course in addition to places like Hotels.com and the other internet services. I am so excited!!! I drove up the morning of the surgery. I did not see the point of staying the night before. But that was me I wanted one more night to party as a big girl. LOL Let me know how I can help you

Hey Heather, I'm going up the day before to go to the nut. class at the hospital. I figured it would be alot easier to just get a room, then have to drive back up there by 6am the next day. I found a room @ Travellodge.....it was kinda hard finding a room on Thanksgiving week. If all goes well, I should be released Friday afternoon. I'm not nervous, except about the whole pain issue. & worried I will be that small % that is doesnt work on. But other than that I am sooooooooo ready for this.

Hello there Iam so happy for you, You'll be in my prayers. Your right the fee at Celebration are too high. I was planning on trying Ocala. I guess the fees must be a whole lot less write me back and tell me more. At this time I don't know of a hotel in Ocala,But if I find one I'll let you know. Well God Bless. Anna

Julie, first of all, congrats on your upcoming surgery. Most people stay at the Holiday Inn Express because it's close and safe and a pretty reasonable place, price-wise. Hope that helps.
