pcp in jacksonville

Hi I am new to this site. I was wondering if anyone knows a pcp doctor? My pcp is totally against any way to lose weight besides diet and excersice. I have been in her care for about 6yrs and we have discussed diff ways to lose weight several times as well as I have been on a ridiculous amount of diets. Nothing seems to work. So if anyone knows of a pcp in Jacksonville, Fl i really would appreciate it. Thanks

Are you using Insurance? Of so which Insurance Company? And which Policy (Such as through Medicare, HMO, PPO)? Look under Inurance if so on here and search by reading profiles of those in your area to find one if none are suggested. As that's how I found mine in Pinellas County. Then decide how far you'll drive. I'd going anywhere in my county. And do drive 35 minutes each way. But my Surgeon's just 10 minutes pass my Primary. Good Luck.

I go to Dr. Robert James. He's on Collins Road off of Blanding close to Orange Park. He is very supportive of the surgery. I've been a patient of his for years and I've never been displeased.

Hi, I go to Dr. Julius Gorospe at Arlington Family care Center in Arlington. They are located on Ft. Caroline Rd. He has been very supportive of me and my husband having this surgery. I have been his pt. for many years. His ph. number is 744-7300. I am going to a support group meeting in the morning and I know there is one PCP that I have heard mentioned several times as being very supportive of patients seeking WLS. I will get her name and number for you. I would suggest that you not burn any bridges with your old primary in case you have to rely on her records for diet (physician supervised wt. loss) records. You are right I dont want to burn my bridges with my current pcp. I will try and talk with her again and see what she says. See if I can at least get her to monitor me for the 6 month weightloss plan I have to do. If not I will look into other docs. Thanks for all the information.
