work rant

yesterday at work..(911 call taker). apprenlty according to my supervisor... im to blunt to callers.. ive had 2 complaints in 2 weeks.... one of which was a total lie... so the supervisor dismissed that one... she said i hung up on her and refused to help her... thank god for recorded lines... number 2 was an address that was givin "the side street in dania"... ok... well... there are tons of ally ways in that city... and the police dept that transfered it gave me an address in thier city...apparently taking 4 mins to get a good address is to long ( if it was life and death.. which a car accident with NO injuries isnt) i would have of course bypassed it and continued...so anyway.. im sure he was upset... so today at work i had to go to customer service class AGAIN... being nice to rude drunk people that think they are the ultimate power and the world revolves around them and only them gets exhausting... and thats what he was... rude and drunk... ohh well... tomorrow is a new day... thanx for listeing...

??? Who do they complain to? Do they call 911 again. Also when the police finally got out to them I hope they got a DUI....that's karma for them.... I had a student complain my office hasn't been open until 9:30-10 and it's suppose to be open at 8:30 and I have student workers open at 8:30 every morning, my boss was just telling me how he's seen it been open at 8:30 every morning. Now the lounge stays open but sometimes I have to go to a meeting and my student leaves and the next one isn't back from class yet...like a 10 minute gap...but this student claims we leave students waiting...never seen them...we looked this kid up in the directory...he's the one who comes in all the time asking for spoons, and napkins. So basically we were probrably closed when he wanted a spoon so he fired of an e-mail...but don't claim we haven't been open on time....that's just not the case. Bring your own darn spoon...we're not a kitchen. ARGH...work

Must be complaint season in FL!!!! I had a secret shopper state that I am ARCTIC towards my customers. A lie to which my customers (good ones) have defended me against the comments made - my regional manager has a habit of coming on by in the middle of the day (banking) to discuss - well on of my regulars let HER have it. Telling her if they'd hired a decent staff then I would have all the time in the world to shoot the **** w// people, like some of our offices in the posher areas of naples. Needless to say - suddenly I have a fully staffed office. let em eat Cake and don't sweat it - as long as you know you're giving your best on the job - ignore the idiots and move on!

no im serious.... ohh well it happens.... see thats why we become cold hearted and not caring what happens to people because stuff like this.... i SO need a vacation... ive been there a year and called out once... im takin one LOL

Hey ladies! Now I' don't work right now except at home but it was complaint day for me too. I was doing the complaining though. I went to the grocery store and they had no scooters working so I had to walk around the store pushing a buggy which I can hardly do with my bad knees and resp. problems. I got to the cash register and the young lady rang up my purchase and made my change. She bagged my stuff and left it there on the carousel and starting ringing up the next customer. She looked at me like my thigns were in her way. I couldn't reach the bags so I had to move down to the end of checkstand and try to reach my bags. I got two of them and then she started the carousel turning and moving my bags further away from me. I just looked at her. Then I said "I'd like to know when this became my job." She goes "what?" I said "lloading the bags back into the cart." She looked at me and said "Well it's not my job!" I just looked at her I'm sure like she had three heads Then I said "It's not? I'm pretty sure your manager would probably disagree with you there." I pushed my buggy over and sat on a bench to rest until I could make it out to my car. But I saw a manager walking past and I called him over to complain about the fact that they only have two scooters in the store and usually only one of them is working and then told her about my run in with the cashier. I said you know I shouldn't have to walk around waving a big sign that says I'm handicapped in order to get basic customer service in this store where I spend so much money. Then I saw a little guy who is mentally challenged who works there and I pointed him out and told the manager that every time I come in though that young man is as helpful as he can be to me. So I guess I got that out and won't have to complain for a while. Anyway...How are you ladies doing? Barbi, Sarah Margaret, Alexa... Sarah- have you heard anything about your appeal? The decision is due back by the 20th which is this Friday...that is what they are telling me...

people are ******** im sorry she did that to you... i would have went nuts.... LOL im a pretty verbal person... especially when i get upset.... yesterday was a much better day at work.... i even got thanked and called an angel... .... today is my friday and im SO ready for this week to be over.... i amost broke my nail today.... hurt my elbow doing not so lady like things ( i guess thats what i get ) LOL.... 55 days to count down.... im so excited
