New to Florida
I haven't had much time to explore the site lately, I gotta get back on track. I'm a recent transplant from Minneapolis into Jacksonville. I will be 2 years post-op come this November (hard to believe). Just getting settled in with the kids and wanted to know if there are others in the Jacksonvilel area and if so are there any get togethers, etc. I can't remember if I changed my location on here or not, sometimes the site remains a mystery with those little details.

Hi Sandee:
I've a support group leader here in Jacksonville and we have our meetings on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays for the month. That means there's a meeting tomorrow....October 7th. We meet in the Arlington area from 10 AM to 2 PM so bring your lunch is a great idea.
I bought a house to hold the meetings in so we could have a product exchange and a clothing exchange.
Please email me so I can give you all the details. We'd love to have you come by and visit and see if you'd like to join us and be a part of our "family".

As far as the meeting in Jax tomorrow, I'm afraid I'm a single mom with kids so unless kids are welcome I wouldn't be able to make it this Saturday. What do you guys do for that whole time if I may inquire? I'd love to come sometime definitely. I'll email you later for more info.
