Can anyone tell me what their time frame was as to when they went back to work. Just trying to get a good idea so I can coordinate my date. Any input would be great! I have an office job so its really not TOO strenous. Thanks Margo Marie

I was out for 3 weeks. I could have gone back in 2, but my boss was out and I thought I'll take an extra week. I was stir crazy by the middled of the 3rd week and was wishing I was back sooner. I had open RNY with Dr Overca****oo have a desk job and that is why he released me to return to work sooner then normal. Lori 293/187.5/135

I was off 5 working days .. at the time I worked at a school and we were out that week for Thanksgiving break. I had the weekend before and after that so a total of 9 days resting. I was fine to return to work the following Monday. I was tired and stayed tired for about 6 weeks during that time I got stronger and my energy level returned. I have seen many people post that the 6 week mark is the miracle week! Good Luck!

I was out three weeks. I have an office job also -- but sitting can be achy so I have to take breaks

I had open rny and yet was still able to go back to work in a 2 wk period. I have a desk job as well. It depends on you and your recovery time.

Hi Margo: I was out for 6 weeks. I had RNY Laporoscopy, but I really wanted to pamper myself and take good care of myself. I also have a desk job. Take care and good luck on your surgery.

I would have gone back after 2 weeks, but I had a second surgery, which caused me to be out an extra week. So I was out 3 weeks total and felt fine returning to my desk job. Tracie
