Anyone familiar with Theodore R. Small, M.D.?

I just moved back to this area and need to establish myself with a Bariatric DR here in the Clearwater/St.Pete area. I need the good and the bad, thanks in advance!

I can only suggest looking under Surgeons on here to view reviews that have been posted on him. I use Dr.Rehnke- www.obesitynomore.com -down in St.Pete/Pasadena-Excellent with the Center of Excellence Award. But there's also a Bariatric Center at Morton Plant Hospital, contact Julie Douglass, [email protected] 461-8658 which just posted about the Walk From Obesity., before your posting. And come to the walk this Saturday most of the surgeon's will be there.

My first choice was Dr.Rehnke, but did not see his name on my providers list with my insurance. Dr. Small is part of the team over there at Morton Plant, that's why I have decided to go with him, also my PCM recommended him. I would love to goto the Walk for Obesity but with my knee injury and upcoming surgery next Tuesday, I'm unable. If there is another in the near future I'll be there! Thanks so much Michael!!

Welcome to the area! Dr. Small is on staff at Mease Countryside Hospital and is an excellent surgeon. You would need to check with his office re: follow up. (712-3233) If you are looking for surgeons for follow up that are on staff at Morton Plant Hospital that would be Dr. John Paul Gonzalvo and Dr. Richard Gordon, who are equally as excellent.
