Put down the junk food and step out of the kitchen!! Are you getting enough liquids? Most often people confuse thirst for hunger. When you have the urge to snack tell yourself you can have a HEALTHY snack in 20 minutes but first you must drink 16 oz. of water or zero/low calorie liquid. If you're still "hungry" after waiting AND drinking, then allow yourself a small amount of a healthy, low calorie snack. If you're having "head hunger" and eating from boredom, stress, proximity to the food, etc. find something else to do. Get away from the food, brush your teeth, go for a walk, clean out a drawer or closet - everyone always has those kind of things that need doing, work on a craft or home improvement project (I scrapbook and you can't do that with sticky, food fingers). Do NOT keep snacks in or near your desk. The only exception to this might be to keep sugar free hard candies in your desk that you can suck on if you can't resist a snack attack. I hope some of these suggestions will help. Vickie J.

I ditto what these sweet ladies have said. It happens to us all,and simply put its called "food addiction". We have it,that's what got us into needing this surgery. It 's keeping it at bay by taking control and not letting it control us. Go back to the basics, do the suggested changes in the other posts, and remember why you needed this surgery. You have lost an incredible amount of weight, don't sabatage it now with poor old eating habits. You can do this girlfriend, you really can! blessings,Tami

After coming so far why are you sabotaging your great results? Eat berries or some other fruit. an egg or two. So sorry for bluntness but I don't see a reason to eat junk food or processed foods. Get back to the program which you know is correct. You can fill up on a protein drink and be doing something good for your self.

Iraida - only YOU have the power to change!! You took initiative to want to do this surgery and make it work not only for 2 years but for the rest of your life - and it's a work in progress. Think about it - even if you are snacking on fruits and veggies if you are eating all time (grazing) then you will begin to gain some weight that is how people eat around the surgery and that is NOT the intention. Look back at what you did in the early days or start journaling what you put in your mouth and how often you are eating. You should start with a good breakfast full of protein to sustain you. 1hr later start drinking water or a protein drink. By then or close to then you should be reaching lunch after waiting after the drinking phase. Have a healthy lunch with plenty of protein and a balance of good carbs. 2/1 proteins to carbs. I say this cause I bodies do needs some carbs just not all the ones we're accustomed to i ncluding junk food carbs (no no!!). By 3ish you can entertain a snack again 2/1 protein to carbs...such as 3 crackers with cheese or lean ham/turkey or cereal mix (what I do 1/2 cup of cereal mix). This should carry you since you'll be doing the next time the water/fluid phase. Close to that will be dinner time. At some point you should have some exercise routine in place so you're working out those carbs..but in the afternoon or dinner don't introduce as many carbs as you are more sedate than most other times. And maybe have a fruit snack about 9ish...I don't follow this exact to the letter but Im very close to it and after going through bulimia - am feeling much better following this similiar routine. This is to serve as a guide and not intended to an exact directive. Best of luck to you. You know you can do this - put your best food forward and use that tool to the best of your ability!! Hugs
