Hello everyone, I have been hearing alot about this and how it is easy to get a surgery approved through them! Is this insurance or something else? Thanks for any info that anyone may have. God Bless, Katina Rye

I have a friend doing it through Vocational Rehab. If you are within the working age and you have a condition that prevents you from working ex, obesity they will pay for the surgery. Also you have to meet their financial guide lines. The first interview is to let you know what you need. The second is to see if you qualify. If you do, then they set up the phys evaluation and once they receive the ok from the psyc they set all the other apt. Be prepared because my friend said the psyc evaluation took 4 hours. It had over 300 question, but remember it is all worth it in the long run. Hope this helps. God bless and good luck Mari M

On Florida there is NO Financal gudelines. Obesity MUST cause tou to be unable to perform your job to the fullest. Or unable to find a jod because of your condiction. Read my profile.

Vocational Rehabilitation is a state agency that works with people with disabilities to overcome barriers to employment. Just remember these folks are not health care providers, it is not health insurance -- they are in the business of helping folks with employment. So everything must be predicated on the fact that you want to work and that your obesity is preventing you from either gaining or keeping meaningful employment. Red
