How much does lap band surgery cost and do they operate on someone that is 65 years old? I know my insurance won't cover it, but wondered if they might have payment plan.

Check with your surgeon of choice as to their age limits but I've read of others receiving it at that age. Also through the Surgeon there is a program for self payments through the Lap Band Manufacturer, Inamed.

call the surgent and ask him about a payment plan and age restrictions... there were a few older men and woman who had the surgery and go to the support meetings over on the end

Brenda - you will get a ton of answers on this one but I can tell you my surgeon, Dr. William Todd Overcash age limit is 75, and he has the lowest surgical fee on self pays that I know of ($7,000) and yes he does offer a payment plan. He is more for the RNY than lapband though he does both..but it won't hurt to give the office a call (352) 368-6868, and see how they can help. Best of luck.
