MEDICAID IN FLORIDA

Hi, Great Site!! I am hoping some of you can help me...The question is...Does anybody know of a surgeon who accepts Medicaid in Florida for the surgery? I was told by someone in Pensacola, that she heard that there might be a doctor in Gainesville, Fl. Has anybody here every been okayed for this surgery from MEDICAID?? I read on the Medicaid site, that as of Feb2006, Medicare and Medicaid would be elgilble for the weight loss surgery...and my BMI is "45"...same as my age..I have been overweight just like most of you all my life. I weigh 260 now, and this is my heaviest weight. I have major depression problems in which I take meds for, and I have 4 beautiful grandkids, that I would like to see grow up....at this rate...there is no hope for that..I would appreciate any advice, or maybe send me in the right direction,,,,if ya'll can...Thanks NANNA45

i just had surgery with Dr. Thomas Bass with surgical consultants. I have medicaid medipass. If you look under my insurance above on the blue tabs they have doctors others have gone to with medicaid.
