set back!
Well, I'm 16 days postop and I haven't progressed to pureed yet. I did well on mashed potato's and then started with severe abdominal pain and vomiting. Has anyone else had trouble 2 weeks postop? I'm really discouraged. I thought I was doing so well. The last 48 hours have been H&*%ll.

Sorry to hear you're having such a hard time. Have you called your surgeon to let him/her know what's been going on with you?? I was on full liquids for the first month so I didn't have the problems you are having. Maybe your body just isn't ready to move on to pureed foods yet. It's all trial and error from here on out! Hang in there!!
Sorry I wasn't much help!!

Are you getting in your protein and fluids? You could be dehydrated, then again could have dumped. If it continues, you do need to call the doc, better to err on the side of caution. I'd caution against potatoes at this stage. That is pure carbs, and doesn't help with weight loss at all.My profile lists foods to eat from day 1 - 6 months out, from my doctor.
I wouldn't do potatoes, pasta, bread, rice and pudding till 6 months out. There are plenty of protein filled soft foods to eat now. Remember the first 6 months is the maximum and fastest weight loss. you should be getting 60-80 grm of protien a day, which is about 3 shakes. And your water and vitamins too.
Keep us posted.
