a friend posted this to me on the 7th I just read it today In Florida and other places on the East Coast a group of people are putting HIV/AIDS infected and filled needles underneath gas pump handles, so when someone reaches to pick it up and put gas in their car, they get stabbed with it. 16 people have been a victim of this crime so far and 10 tested HIV positive. It's important to inform people, even if you don't drive, a family member might, and what if they were next? CHECK UNDER THE HANDLE BEFORE YOU GRAB IT!!! IT MIGHT SAVE YOUR LIFE! Tell as many people as you can about this serious issue, Repost with the title: ***IMPORTANT NEWS***

I have no idea what area this happened in. My friend on my space posted it to me on Sept 7th 2006. I'll ask her where it was taking place exactly.

Yea this has been going on for years in Florida. I was shopping in WalMart about a year ago and the man from the bread company was restocking the shelves and saw a glimmer on the shelf which ended up being a long stick pin which eventually showed up with testing positive also. I also have seen a case where the infected needle was in the movie theater seats. The world is a much different place today then it used to be : ( you can never be to cautious anymore.

Thanks for the information. I'm still gonna check just in case. People are crazy these days. I remember a few years back they were leaving them around and people were getting HIV. I saw an empty needle on the ground in Publix parking lot last month. My kids asked me what it was then I had to explain the importance of not touching it. I could'nt believe it... someone could have stepped on it.
