CONSTIPATION
I'm sure a lot of u are suffering from constipation, me included, but i did find an iron pill from whole foods that is supposed to be gentle on the stomach and says non constipating on the label. However, I have a question for anyone out there. DOES ANYONE HAVE PAIN IN THEIR TAILBONE FROM PUSHING DUE TO CONSTIPATION?? I am having a lot of problems with my tail bone, or at least i think its my tail bone. It is protruding out very much and i am in a lot of pain, especially when i sit or even lie down, my chiropractor says that it could be from the pushing, meanwhile my PCP wants me to see an orthpedist as she doesnt think its from constipation pushing, either way i am in a lot of pain. At first i thought it was from all the weightloss and that I am now boney, but it's not that. I will be seeing the orpedic guy on tuesday sept 5th. I would love to hear from anyone who might be having this problem.
Thanks.
Joanne
If you have constipation I would say - up your water intake (unless you're doing good with that). Ease up on the iron pills - maybe once a day. But I will tell you Im 2 years out and when I sit on certain surfaces my tailbone hurts and I have to get up very slowly!! That's just cause we lose the padding we had in asses and now we feel what we have so your case can be this or different. Best of luck to you!
I used 'Smooth Move' tea- which I fell in LOVE with because it worked beautifully, but when I told my surgeon's assistant he told me not to use it because Senna is something my body would become dependant on. (I spent $5 on the box but it was SO worth it for that one day!!)
He recommended COLACE- it's non-habit forming for your guts I guess. So if you can, check with your surgeon maybe?
Tailbone pain sounds like no fun- I hope they figure out what it is soon!!
XOXO
