Oh NO not again!
Hi all
Here we are again preparing for another Hurricane or Tropical Storm. Whatever you call it doesn't matter. It is still a big pain in the neck. I am here in Fort Lauderdale and just got my new roof after Hurricane Wilma trashed the old one. It took a whole year!
Beside the house issues what do catastrophes do to our eating habits? It throws us back into those old habits of stress eating. Thank God I no longer have children at home so I won't stock up on junk food 'for the kids'. I am trying to keep everything in check. I am trying to use celery for my crunch when I am angry or stressed.
Well good luck to all of us here in Florida. I hope you have your water, batteries, gas and celery to weather the storm.
Paula
Yes, I giuess we have the most behaving Prayer's here in Tampa Bay.
We've missed our share just to let all you other Floridians have all the Fun!
Let us know if we can be any humbler for your exciting entertainment.
Seriously if you want/need to get out of town, I'm sure we'd all not in any hurricane tracks be glad to put you up till these storms pass by. Let us know if we can help!
Mike
Hey Paula I am your neighbor here in Lake Worth. Its Wed am and so far so good.I was kinda of in denial so we didnt put up our shudders. We are going to be fine I think just some wind and rain Thank God.I dont know about you but I am getting tired of this storm thing.I guess its the price for living in this beautiful state.Just think no snow sleet or below zero temps

Thanks to you all for your good wishes. Yes, we are all in this together and thank god for no snow. True, this storm wasn't much to talk about. Since I am a Hurricane Andrew refugee, I get just a little bit anxious when storms are coming. The thought of losing everything again and having to be homeless for 2 years just makes me crazy. I am proud to say that I didn't let my eating get out of control even though I thought about it a lot. I guess all this practicing good habits does make it easier in the long run. Mike, thanks for the offer of a place out of harms way but my husband would never leave his castle. Even if it fell down around him he would have to be here to see it.
Regards to all, Paula
