My Goodness I can't believe all the new faces on this board. It's been a few months since I posted so i guess I shouldn't be surprised. I just wanted to drop a few lines and let everyone know that Omar and I are doing well. I will celebrate 2 years post-op next month an have gotten myself from 400 down to 210. If I followed the rules a little better I could be inder 200 but believe me, I'm happy with a 190 pound loss. I have a PS consult with Dr. Samson at the Cleveland Clinic on September 8th to discuss a LBL. I'm excited but really nervous about that. The biggest stress I have is being out of work for 4 to 6 weeks. I've only been at Disney 9 months and don't have hardly any sick time built up. But I've got to have the surgery because the sagging skin in my stomach area is wreaking havoc with the herniated discs in my lower back plus the rash issue is also a pain. Hope all is well with the "OLD" Timers here on the board. I miss seeing you guys. I will post agin after my consult. Hopefully, I will have a surgery date. Sincerely, Dawn Barrera

Dawn, Sounds like you're doing great! I just had my LBL with Dr. Shuster (Hollywood, FL) in June and I love the results! Can't say the first week was fun, but it was tolerable and very much worth it! Keep us posted on your progress. Vickie J.

HI Dawn - its sure been a while!!! The new faces are of those starting the process while we old timers are hiding or just lurking..but we need to be watchful since the more time out we are OLD habits can creep in!! Im like 20-30 lbs from goal with approaching my 2nd year anniversary (can't believe it's this time already!!!). I was having some stomach problems and went to see the doc and he yelled at me...but he brought me to the realization that I was eating (carbs) ..which was really in not eating the full cookie, or buying a bag of chips....but in sampling junk food ...and for us it is as if we did have the whole thing and it have caused some problems.. so the doc brought something important that I had forgotten!! Now Im a bit more focused and getting to basics...I dont know if I'll lose the 20 lbs by next month but at least I know I have the POWER to make this surgery work even if I slip up along the way.But I do lurk and try to help out the newbies - now looking back I feel those were the "easy" days...cause the punishment was more immediate. Anyway - you continue your journey 190 lb loss is nothing to be snooze about...that's amazing!! Just getting back to basics is the answers. Hugs and kisses! oooh and keep us posted on your PS stuff..wish i had the dough for that....hehehehe maybe someday.
