need help? cant get my protein in.
Try not to stress over this too much. You need the protein yes...but the first couple of months are tough. You'll be fine....you need to heal. It will take 6 weeks at least for your insides to heal...so chill. And your tastes will change.
I didn't like them either at first (now I can't go a day without my protein shake 'fix')
So here's what I did....I mixed....
1 pkg carnation SF instant breakfast
8 ounces ice cold soy or lacktaid milk
1/3 cup carnation powdered milk
1 Tablespoon peanut butter
Blend well and keep in fridge.
This made a 27g protein drink without the aftertaste of commercial powders. I kept it in the fridge and sipped on it all day. After a few weeks....I bought some liquid protienX and got 15 grams more by mixing it with Ruby Red diet Ocean Spray. You could also now use Crystal Light Sunrise Ruby Red (or Orange) to help mask the taste of the ProteinX and its not so bad ice cold. And no sugar grams to worry about.
Between these 2 drinks.....and if you are eating bits of protein every day....you sould be fine.

Our tastes change. You have to try different things. Try unflavored powders and put them in drinks you like. The bottom line, is you have to get 60-80 grams of protein whether you like it or not. If you don't, your body will leach protein from your muscles, and later on you will go into malnutrition. Protein for us is like air. So, i understand its diffficult now, just do it. Keep trying different ways, and if all still don't taste good, eat it anyway. Try the protein puddings stallone, try one first to see if you like it . Can get it at gnc. I am not being harsh, but I am being firm, because this is a matter of your health, and I care,and i've been where you are too. hugs
